With the “Regionalising the energy transition” tool, you can define your own settings for how the energy transition will develop in Region 10. You are provided with options for expanding renewable energy as well as for the development of electricity demand and the use of sector coupling and battery storage. The impact of your selected settings on the region is visualised using a map and several charts.
The “Regionalising the energy transition” tool was developed during the “People in Motion” project. “People in Motion” is a joint project of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU). What new ideas are there for mobility? How can Region 10 develop sustainably? How can the digital transformation in our living and working environments be shaped effectively? And how can civic engagement help address the challenges of our time? These are the project’s central questions. With its focus on engineering and business, THI is closely connected to the region’s industry and economy. With its humanities orientation, KU contributes in particular social, societal and sustainability-related perspectives.
The aim is to create transparency, promote participation and shape the local energy transition together.
