Scientific knowledge transfer conference of the ForTraNN Institute
The Research and Transfer Center for Sustainability Neuburg (ForTraNN) promotes the development and strengthening of a transdisciplinary sustainability network of companies, municipalities, citizens, researchers and students. Socio-ecological approaches to solutions are to be linked with techno-economic expertise in order to meet the challenges of a sustainably shaped future.
To this end, since 2019 THI has been holding the scientific knowledge transfer conference “The Great Transformation” every two years (with the exception of the pandemic years). The event aims to intensify dialogue between academia and practice to ensure that research findings are used effectively, while practice-relevant questions also feed into academic research. In this way, the conference brings together stakeholders from academia, business and the public. With input from academia, approaches to solutions for a sustainable transformation are developed jointly in workshops and discussion rounds.
The conference is organised and designed by the transfer project “People in Motion”.
Third scientific knowledge transfer conference “The Great Transformation III – What happens now at five past twelve?”
Review 2024
How can society, the economy and the environment actively shape profound change? This question was at the heart of the third scientific knowledge transfer conference “The Great Transformation III – What happens now at five past twelve?”, which took place on 27 November 2024 at THI’s Neuburg campus. The event, organised by the Research and Transfer Center for Sustainability Neuburg (ForTraNN), brought together more than 100 experts, students and interested participants throughout the day to jointly develop approaches to solutions for a sustainable future.
This year’s event placed a particular focus on climate action and climate adaptation—topics that are of central importance for both companies and the public. >> to the press release
