The Technology Transfer Center Unmanned Aerial Systems (TTC) at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt combines the scientific expertise of AImotion Bavaria with current developments in unmanned aviation technologies and Urban Air Mobility.
In close collaboration with industry partners, start-ups, and public institutions, the interdisciplinary team develops practice-oriented solutions for the mobility of the future.
The modern research infrastructure at the Manching site creates an environment where new technologies are not only conceived but also implemented.
The TTC conducts research in key areas such as manned-unmanned teaming, intelligent control and navigation, and large-scale swarm control.
This results in concepts for safe human-system integration, AI-supported navigation solutions for complex operational scenarios, and energy-efficient control approaches for coordinated UAV swarms.
Application fields range from surveillance and reconnaissance to tactical missions in security-critical environments.
In addition to fundamental and applied research, the TTC is also engaged in contract research and technology transfer.
Companies benefit from targeted consulting, for example in the design of technical concepts, regulatory issues, or strategic roadmap development.
Furthermore, the center supervises practice-oriented theses and actively involves students in ongoing projects—thus promoting knowledge transfer between university and industry at an early stage. The TTC forms the interface between scientific research and industrial application and specifically promotes technology transfer in civil and security-critical aviation—networked, adaptive, cooperative.
